General Purpose Sand

Masonry – Yellow sand is often used when stone or manufactured concrete pavers are installed to enhance a landscape. The low-cost sand is able to add much needed friction which will help to hold the pavers in place once they have been laid down. It is used when installing brick and stonework. This will ensure that the hardscape continues to look and function beautifully in the many years ahead.
Landscaping – Some people enjoy the look of sand as a decorative feature within the landscape. Spreading sand in specific areas of the property can create a beachy or desert feel to set the tone for your home or place of work.
Recreational – Sand is a great sensory tool, and as such, many parents enjoy filling a sandbox with yellow sand for their children’s growth and play. Yellow sand is also shock absorbent and can be used as a safe surfacing material for residential and park playgrounds.
Construction – Because it is quite affordable, many contractors will use yellow sand for general construction purposes.

Mason Sand

Mason Sand, sometimes called "mortar sand" or "masonry sand", is a fine sand that has been screened and washed. It is similar to concrete sand, though crushed finer and with more uniform sized granules. Projects completed with mason sand versus concrete sand will also have a more 'finished' appearance. Its properties make it one of the most versatile of sands.

Fill Sand

Fill sand is a common material used in both residential and commercial construction projects. Just as its name suggests, it’s a substance comprised of excellent particles of rock. These particles may have broken down into sand naturally over time or may have been run through crushing machines several times.
